Fall Semester 2018 D Groups
Starting October 7th and ending November 25th.
Classes start at 9am Sunday mornings.
1. Adamant Sharon Williams
Adamant describes a posture of unshakeable resolve and determination. If there was ever a time for us to be adamant about love and truth it is now. God is love. God is truth. Both love and truth are timeless, transcending our current trends and opinions. Sometimes the most loving thing we will ever do is to speak the truth, but speaking truth begins with living it.
2. The Believer’s Authority Bill and Linda Lockhart
We as a church have authority on the earth that we’ve never yet realized… A few of us have barley gotten to the edge of that authority, believers who will rise up with the authority that is theirs. They will know what is theirs, and they will do the work that God intended them to do.
3. Foundational Restoration Jean Thompson
This class provides a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. It is designed to help those struggling by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ.
4. Grandparenting David and Cathy Tebeau
What is ther biblical role of a grandparent? Every grandparent is given a God-ordained role that is not interchangeable with any other member of the family. Come gain a laser-like focus on what a grandparent’s role is-according to the bible. It is time to redouble the efforts to be intentional influencers of our youngest generation. Time to get equipped as grandparents to better address the desire to see the generations follow Christ.
5. The Holy Spirit Keith and Kristy Thieman
The Holy Spirit is frequently misunderstood, leaving many clueless about who He is and how He expresses Himself to us. He is often portrayed as something weird. But the Bible makes it clear that the Spirit is not something. He is someone–a Person who has promised to never leave your side. In this curriculum, you are invited into a personal discovery of the most ignored and misunderstood Person in the Church: the Holy Spirit.
6. Marriage Brad and Dana Saulter
Using Dr. Myles Munroe’s book,Applying the Kingdom: Rediscovering the Priority of God for Mankind, you will learn that the key to abundant living is found in establishing priorities in one’s life and living by them. Topping the list is the priority, kingdom first! This is a timely reminder that we need to first seek the Kingdom of God and his righteous as seen in God’s Word, Matthew 6:33
7. Being Transformed into the Image of Christ
The Bartmess’, and L. Widmer
This class will help you realize that God’s plan for your life is transformation – being transformed back to His image – most importantly love. You will gain a firm hold on your identity as well as a stronger understanding of who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you.
8. Imprint Ps. Chonna and Mark Nelson
Many “churched” teens struggle to connect their faith to their everyday lives, and when asked what they believe, you often get the answers they think they need to give in church. This class will help teens engage in real conversations where belief can be discovered, Christian words and notions can be unpacked, and faith can be connected.
9. Children Roger and Diana Sells
Route 66: A Trip through the 66 Books of the Bible takes kids on a life-changing journey through each of the 66 books of the Bible, exploring the wonders of God’s Word―and the adventure to be found in a deeper relationship with Him. For grades 1–6.
